Thanks so much for this, Bob. This is like a cool mountain stream of refreshment after reading the “war of words” on your blog this week.

May the Lord give you the victory.

“For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. (Jam 3:2)

    Dean Gonzales,

This is definitely a refreshing and timely post. You’ve been through some heated battles and faced some less than charitable opposition. I appreciate the way you have laid out the case for a balanced, Biblical Calvinism – and especially the spirit in which you’ve made your arguments. Some of your philosophical opponents should be repenting for their slanderous remarks and begging your forgiveness. You have demonstrated a strong commitment to God’s command that we exercise patience with those who disagree with sound doctrine, so that perhaps they may come to repentance. Your patience does not go unnoticed (by God OR man). Yes, we all stumble in many ways – but a righteous man rises again every time. Blessings, brother.
